If you want to become a Server Administrator, knowing about Active Directory will make you a hot cake in the industry.

It will help you in passing your Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) certification. Preparing for the Exam 70-410, Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012.

To ensure your success in knowing Active Directory professionally, you should understand the fundamentals of networking. You should have experience with completing administration and security tasks in an enterprise environment. In addition, you should be comfortable with supporting, configuring, and using Windows Clients such as Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.

You should have obtained the following level of skills and knowledge by taking the following courses (Though it’s not required) ;

  • CompTIA  Network+ (Exam N10-005)
  • CompTIA  Security+ (Exam SY0-301)

This blog will take you through the Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 R2.

We’ll cover the following modules;

  3. Administer Active Directory objects
  4. Automate administrative Tasks
  5. Configure IPV4 and IPV6
  6. Install and Configure DHCP
  7. Install and Configure DNS
  8. Configure Storage space, file and print services
  9. Configure Group Policy
  10. Secure Windows Servers
  11. Install and Configure Virtual Servers and Clients

This course shall be 30% theory and 70% practicals. You will have all resources used available to you for downloads. There are follow up quizzes to test you knowledge as you learn.
