Hello World, in these article you are going to learn how to block a website or several websites in all Web Browsers on any Windows 7,8,8.1 and 10 computers. This operation can be done by editing the host file of your computer and I will guide you to do it perfectly without any worries. So let get started.
Please follow the steps and go accordingly.
STEP #1
Firstly, you need to open a notepad and then run it as an administrator but then if you are using a windows 8 computer, come to start screen and then type notepad in the search button and run as an administrator from the list of options.
STEP #2
This step is for you to find the path for the host file, so therefore to do this go to notepad and click on “File” and then choose “Open” then open the Local Drive C: also click on “Windows” then select “System32” in the same System32 folder choose “Drivers” and then select ‘etc’.
NOTE: Initially you will not see any files in the “etc” folder, but to get the files just change the “Text Documents
STEP #3
Come to the bottom of the list of options provided, then type out the IP Addresses of the websites you want to block followed by the names of the sites. For example, if you want block facebook and twitter write down the following “127.0.0.1 facebook.com twitter.com” with a space operation.
